Medium of Instruction 

We believe that language proficiency plays an indispensable role in every aspect of life. It facilitates communication and is essential to succeeding in life. 

For this reason, the School pays special attention to mastering language skills. We aim for our students to be proficient in two written languages (Chinese and English) and three spoken languages (Cantonese, Putonghua and English). 

Cantonese is used as the medium of instruction in order to establish a good foundation in our mother tongue language, Chinese culture and values. Putonghua is introduced in P3 as a medium of instruction for Chinese, and becomes the main medium of instruction for Chinese in P4, P5 and P6. The Primary School also stresses English proficiency to prepare students for our secondary school, which uses English as the medium of instruction. English is used as the medium of instruction in our P6 except for cultural subjects.
